Pourquoi le bmx et pourquoi le flat?
Je m'intéressais déjà au bmx quand j'avais 10 ans, mais à cette époque je ne connaissais personne qui roulait. J'ai commencé quelques années plus tard quand j'ai rencontré Jens (un de mes amis et également un rider flat de ma ville) il a été le premier à me pousser à rouler et j'ai continué le flat parce que j'adore ça! Je pense que c'est le meilleur moyen d'exploiter sa créativité sur un vélo et aussi le plus intéressant visuellement. D'un autre côté, je ne sais pas vraiment comment l'expliquer, c'est juste cool...
Ton spot
Il est plutôt petit avec beaucoup de passage et quelques skaters qui savent déjà à quel point un peg est dur, hahaha... Mon spot m'a pas mal aidé à préparer les contests sur lesquels on a jamais assez de place pour rouler.

Tu roules seul ?
Habituellement, je roule avec Jens et Sammy car nous vivons dans la même ville. J'aime aussi rouler avec the "the Frankfurt cats" Robert et Arimin. Nous pourrions rouler plus souvent tous ensemble, mais c'est impossible de tous nous réunir en même temps...
Où roules-tu en hiver?
L'année dernière nous avions le hall d'une usine au milieu de Frankfurt, on s'y gelait plutôt, mais bon, c'était quand même un endroit où rouler!
On s'est tous réuni pour acheter un revêtement de sol comme celui du flatground ou des worlds. C'était bien mais pour on ne sait quelle raison, ils ont fermé le hall... Cet hiver je roule dans un parking Ikea (voir photo) mais le sol est vraiment merdique et sale. Mais j'ai entendu dire que nous allions peut-être récupérer notre hall avec plein de nouveaux revêtements!
Combien d'heures roules tu par jour?
Pour le moment, je ne roule pas beaucoup à cause de la fac... mais normalement j'essaye de rouler deux heures par jour dans la semaine et quatre à cinq heures pendant le week-end. En été, c'est sur, beaucoup plus!!!

Quel combo tu prépares maintenant?
En général j'essaye des trucs sur le côté gauche comme switchfooted karl kruiser, des x-footed et des switch rapides.
Si le père noël te donnait des tricks/combo pour x-mas, quel serait ton voeux?
Ooh c'est difficile! Maintenant juste un combo avec beaucoup de switch... C'est ce que je préfère pour le moment!
Et au sujet des tricks sur la roue arrière?
Mon vélo a une roue arrière? Non, je plaisante mais j'ai arrêté de faire des tricks sur ma roue arrière il y a deux ans, je sais c'est nul mais rouler sur la roue avant est plus fun pour moi en ce moment! Time machine est le seul trick que je fais sur la roue arrière de temps en temps.
Des buts dans le bmx?
Seulement rouler, travailler des tricks et passer du bon temps avec les autres riders. On verra ce qui arrivera !

Worlds de Cologne! Premier en expert!
Yeah, les worlds, grand! Fun, fun, fun! Spécialement la fête samedi! Tout le monde semblait s'amuser et c'est ce qui compte, je pense! La seule chose qui coinçait à mon avis c'était de donner des poignées au premier master et expert dans un contest avec des sponsors comme Suzuki?!? C'était quand même cool et j'y serai l'année prochaine.
Berlin city games. Tu as commencé amateur pour finir premier, ce qui t'as donné la chance de rouler pro. Quel effet ça fait?
D'abord je voudrai dire que Matti a vraiment fait du bon boulot, il n'a eu qu'une nuit pour organiser le contest, Props! Avoir la possibilité de rouler pro a vraiment été une bonne expérience même si le contest a commencé très tard.

Mon top5: Martti Kuoppa, Viki, Jumelin et Nathan Penonzek! Mais Yanmar, Matti, .Michael Sommer, Simon O'brien sont très bons aussi!

Which bike do you ride ?
fly simple, bizhouse stem, ti-handlebar, odessey fork with offset, suelo pegs and a primo powerbite crank.

Your spot ?
i've got a pretty small spot with lot's of people passing through and some skater which get to feel a peg of mine from time to time, hahah.. my spot was a pretty good preparation for contests i think, to have little space in practise doesn't really bother me too much.
Where do you ride in winter ?
Last year we had this factory hall in the middle of frankfurt, it was freezing cold, but at least a place to ride! we all put money together a bought us a floor like you have em at Flatground or the worlds. It was nice but for some reasons they closed the hall... this winter i'm riding in an IKEA parking (on the pics) with shitty and dusty floor. But i've heard that we'll maybe get our hall with plenty of new floor back?!
Why bmx and why flat ?
I've been already interested in BMX when i was about 10, but back then i had nobody to ride with. I started years later, when i met jens (another flatland local and friend of mine), he was the first one to motivate me to ride and i sticked with flatland because i loved it!! I also think it looks best and gives lot's of space to liveout creativity! but on the otherside, i don't really know how to explain; it's just dope and i don't know why...
Are you riding alone?
Usually i ride with Jens or Sammy because we live in the same city. I also like to ride with the Frankfurt cats; Robert (storyteller) or Armin! We could be many more riding together but somehow you never get them all together...
How many hours sre you rinding by day ?
For the moment i don't ride that much because of school etc... but usually i try to ride 2 hours a day during the week and four or five on the weekends. in summer defenetly more!!!
Which combo are you working on right now?
i'm trying things on the left side like switchfooted karl kruiser, x- footed stuff and fast switches in general.
If santa claus was giving tricks/combos for x-mas, what would be your wish for this year?
Ohh difficult! actually just a combo with lots of switches... that's what i like most for the moment!
What about backwheeel tricks ?
My bikes got a backwheel? no just kidding, but i stopped to do backwheel about two years ago, i know it's pretty shitty but frontwheel was and is more fun for me at the moment! timemachines are the only thing i do on the backwheel sometimes.
Any goals in BMX ?
Just riding, working on tricks and having a good time with the people i ride with. Let's see what happens?!
Worlds cologne?
good shit! fun, fun, fun! expecially the party on saturday! everybody seemed to have a good time and that's all that counts, i guess! the only thing that seemed to be not right for me was GRIPS as a gift for 1st place in master and expert, with a sponsor like SUZUKI??? but anyway it was fun and i'll be there next year!
Berlin city games. you started amateur and made first place, what gave you the chance to start in pro, how was that?
First thing i wanna say is Matti has done a really good job, he just had one night to set the whole thing up, props! beeing able to ride pro was defenetly a good experience even if it started very late.
Do you have a favorite rider?
My fab5 are: MK, Viki, Jumelin and Nathan Penonzek! but Yanmar, Matti, Michael Sommer, Simon O'brien, etc are dope too!
